Locals can choose from limited hours to browse, trade-in or donate books in-person. Choose from below.
Light the Fire Books Trade-In Program
Turn your gently used books into store credit—or even cash!
Light the Fire Books accepts books in Good condition or better for trade.

New or Like-New titles (published within the last year) may earn up to 75% of the current retail price (25% in cash + 50% in store credit).

Most other used books earn 40–50% in store credit, while low-value titles receive 10–20%.

Credit never expires and can be used toward any used books on our website or at the local pickup location.
Local trade-ins are by appointment only, and mail-in trade-ins are accepted for store credit.
Books that don’t qualify may be shared through our Little Free Library or donated to local community programs supporting literacy and hope.
